In the 1970s, Madam Lee Tung Hua started making garlic chili sauce using a traditional stone grinder at home. Initially, she shared it with her neighbors, but due to its increasing popularity, her husband, Mr. Ng Kui Fah, established Kampung Koh Sauce Co. in Kuala Lumpur to bring the sauce to a wider market.
