Lao Chen Pi is a sun-dried orange peel has been widely used in Chinese cooking for hundred of years as a traditional seasoning. The first taste is slightly sweet, and the after taste is spicy and bitter. It is aged by storing them dry. A versatile ingredient that can be used in many savoury or sweet dishes. Its subtle fragrance will enhance the flavour and take the dish up a notch.
Cooking Method:
- Soak in water to rehydrate lightly before cooking.
- Scrape off the bitter white pith.
