Dang Gui Root is sweet, pungent and bitter in taste, and also warming in action.
- In a cooking pot, heat 2 tbsp of cooking oil and stir fry the 4-8 pcs of chicken meat for about 3 minutes.
- Add 3 shiitake mushroom, 2 tbsp wolfberry fruit, 3 angelica root slices, 10 pcs red dates, 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp salt. Stir fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add the 250ml water from re-hydrating the shiitake mushroom and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Drizzle cornstarch mixture ( 1 tbsp cornstarch, mix with 1 tbsp of water) to the pot and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the liquid has thickened. Remove from heat and serve warm.
