Serve 4-5 persons
Main Ingredients: white snow fungus, dried mushroom, gojiberry, and lotus seed.
Cooking Method:
- After soaking the dried white snow fungus overnight to re-hydrate, trim away the yellow root portion.
- In a medium / large thick-bottomed pot, add the snow fungus and water to boil. After water start boiling, reduce the heat to medium low. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add in rock sugar and other ingredients in soup pack. You may want to adjust the sugar levels according to your own preference.
- Cover and simmer on low heat, and takes 1-2 hours to boil till the soup / snow fungus both turn a light amber color. And is ready to serve.
TIPS: Adding pear is recommended. 8 hours prep time accounts for time needed to soak the dried snow fungus. Active prep time is 5 minutes.
